Shelton/Derby's 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

DERBY, CT – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Derby so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in Derby:
What: City of Derby 4th of July celebration
Where: 3rd Street
When: July 3, rain date July 5

Local restaurants will be open for business and food trucks will be parked on 3rd Street along with other vendors. There will be fireworks at night.

Here's what's in store for Shelton

What: Shelton Fireworks

Where: Veterans' Riverwalk Park

When: Wednesday July 3, rain date July 5

The following roads will be closed:

Canal St between Wharf St and Hill St will be closed at approximately 2:00pm.
Canal St between Hill St and Cornell St will be closed at 5:30pm
Howe Ave, including all side roads, between Wharf St and Center St will be closed at 7:30pm.
