DiMatteo Insurance hires new employees

SHELTON, CONN.—DiMatteo Insurance recently hired Andrea Fera, as personal lines account manager; Jenifer Lutheran, of Shelton, Conn., as account manager; Taryn Dawes, of Stratford, Conn., as commercial lines assistant; and Jamie Pleva-Nickerson, of Norwalk, Conn., as commercial lines account manager.

In her new position, Fera is a liaison for claims, endorsements and billing issues for DiMatteo’s high net-worth clients. She provides customer service to the firm’s personal lines clients, and assists them in making appropriate insurance decisions for their individual needs. Fera has worked in the insurance industry for 35 years.

As account manager, Lutheran offers support to DiMatteo Insurance’s health benefits service clients, and provides technical support to the firm’s producers regarding clients’ billing issues and more.

With 10 years of health insurance industry knowledge, Lutheran has experience with resolving insurance-related issues and providing customer service.

In her new position, Dawes provides assistance to DiMatteo Insurance’s commercial lines account managers. Her responsibilities include maintaining the firm’s incoming commercial lines insurance policies; preparing certificates of insurance; and working with the firm’s vast variety of insurance companies regarding insurance claims.

With some 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial sector, Dawes is well-positioned to focus on DiMatteo Insurance’s commercial lines customers’ needs. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational communication from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn.

As commercial lines account manager, Pleva-Nickerson handles large commercial contracting and real estate for DiMatteo Insurance’s commercial lines clients. She provides customer service to the firm’s commercial lines clients, and assists them in making appropriate insurance decisions for their individual needs.

Pleva-Nickerson has several years of account management and commercial lines experience. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in communications and public relations from Iona College, New Rochelle, N.Y.
