Five Properties Placed on Derby's Blight List

DERBY, CT — A total of five Derby properties were recently placed on the city's "Blight List" by the Board of Aldermen Blight Committee, according to officials.

The properties placed on the list last month are 192-194 Caroline St.; 151-153 Main St.; 190 Olivia St.; 188 Seymour Ave.; and 190 Seymour Ave.

In recent years, the city has added several properties to its list of blighted properties, which can carry fines if the owners do not clean them up.

The board and Derby Building Department often meet with owners of blighted properties to try to work out a solution for the site.
