Griffin Health Accepting Walk-Ups For Coronavirus Vaccines

The Derby-based hospital's vaccination sites in Shelton and Naugatuck now are accepting walk-up patients 16 years old and older.

DERBY, CT — Naugatuck Valley residents who are 16 years old and older can now receive free coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines without appointments at Griffin Health's Shelton and Naugatuck vaccination sites, officials announced.

The Shelton site at 10 Progress Drive is open walk-ups weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 6 a.m. to noon on weekends. The Naugatuck site at 727 Rubber Ave. is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on weekends from 7 a.m. to noon.

Patients are encouraged to bring their health insurance card and photo ID, if they have them, but those documents are not required; no one will be turned away.
