Holy Trinity Catholic Academy Boys JV Basketball Team Win the New England CYO Championship

This Holy Trinity Catholic Academy boys JV basketball team finished their 2018-2109 campaign winning the 2019 New England CYO Tournament in the JV division. The team fought off an impressive slate of teams in single elimination format – St. John Evangelist from Fall River, Massachusetts, St. Christopher from Manchester, NH (NH State Camps), and in the championship game beat previously undefeated Saints Peter and Paul from Waterbury, CT. Other teams in the division were from Boston MA, Providence RI, Worcester MA, Manchester NH, and Norwich CT.

The Boys were there representing the Diocese of Bridgeport where they were back to back champions of the JV Division. Last year they lost in the semi-final game of the same tournament, this was their goal all year.

This season, the team also won the Tyler Ugolyn Memorial Tournament at Our Lady of Fatima in Wilton, CT and the St. Mary Tournament in Milford, CT.
