A Love Letter To Howard Bailey

To celebrate Valentine's Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Nancy Bailey's love letter to her husband, Howard:

Heaven sent Howard,

I do believe I am the luckiest wife in the world! Howard, you are not only an amazing husband, but an amazing person. I swear if everyone was exactly like you, there would be world peace. You are the most important man in my life.

You have always made sure that we keep it new, spicy, happy and exciting.

We have always kept it new for 11 years, kept our deal of making sure we are important because without us, everything else wouldn’t work right. Not a day goes by that I don’t run to my phone when a text comes in, hoping that it’s you. And when it is, I’m still giddy as if it were the first few days of being smitten with each other.

I knew back then that I wasn’t happy and that if I could only find that one for me, that I would truly be happy. You are funny, silly, happy all the time. You’re smart, you know exactly how to handle any type of situation and most of all, you’re all mine.

We are like two peas in a pod. We are inseparable, always together, and when we are not together, I’m waiting impatiently for when we are finally together at the end of day. One of my favorite times is getting on the couch with PJs and tea after the gym together, because I still after all these years, can’t wait to hear just what it is that you’re going to say. Who can say they still feel that way? Probably not a lot of folks.

We swore from the beginning that we would never get into that everyday normal marriage routine that most people have, that we would keep it fresh — and we do. I still think I have to pinch myself that I’m in this with you. I catch myself when I’m alone at home, walking around smiling, and I know it’s all because of you.

When you answer that phone when I call, you yell out, “Honey!” You’re the cutest thing!

Thank you for wanting me, for dealing with me at times, for loving my kids too, for taking care of my mom and just for being YOU. Your folks are looking down from heaven and blessing you every single day, and I’m so happy that I am going to be the girl sitting right next to you for the rest of our lives together. You’re the most important and you always will be. And even though today, Valentine’s Day, is my birthday, it’s also my day to tell you how much you mean to me.

I don’t know what I’d do without you babe! It’s you, it’s always been you that I’ve been waiting for all of my life!
