Matto Wine Bar In Shelton Announces Grand Opening

SHELTON, CT — Matto Wine Bar, one of Shelton's newest restaurants will celebrate its grand opening Jan. 24. The Italian restaurant opened in December in the former Barra Italian Street Kitchen space.

Matto is restaurateur Daniel Camporeale's second Connecticut restaurant. His first is the popular Molto location in downtown Fairfield.

Camporeale told the Shelton Herald that the city has become a hub and is growing. He's wanted to establish a Shelton restaurant for awhile.

Matto is the Italian word for crazy. The menu has a wide variety of tapas, pizza, salads, classic pasta dishes and entrees.
