Palm & Able: Resale with Purpose, Now Open in Shelton

Palm & Able, a resale store with a mission, is now open at 874 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton, located in the Shelton Square shopping plaza.

Shop Palm & Able's thrift-y treasures and unique gifts and artwork, created by Kennedy Center artists. You can also fulfill all your PPE needs at the store's section of FDA-certified masks, gloves and more — all at hard-to-beat prices.

Palm & Able is a Kennedy Center social enterprise, employing people of all abilities.

The store’s name, Palm & Able, is a nod to the abilities of the people we support and honors the nearly 70-year legacy of The Kennedy Center of Connecticut. Founder Evelyn Kennedy lived on Palm Street in Bridgeport, where she hosted the first parent meetings that would lead to the creation of The Kennedy Center.

Store hours: Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Every time you shop Palm & Able, you're supporting job opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Donations welcome! We are currently accepting: summer/fall clothing for men, women and children, small housewares, tableware, accessories, outdoor games/activities.If you would like to bring a donation to our store, please call the store ahead at 475-269-2608.

Donations can also be dropped off to The Kennedy Center at 39 Lindeman Drive in Trumbull, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please note: Palm & Able is following state guidelines and asking our customers to practice social distancing and face mask procedures. We are vigorously and frequently cleaning the store and merchandise to ensure a safe, healthy environment for our customers.
