Police Investigating Derby Crash That Killed One Motorist

State police are investigating the death of a man killed in a car crash on Route 8 late Saturday evening.

DERBY, CT — State police are investigating the death of a man killed in a car crash late Saturday evening.

Police said Jonathan Perez, of Bridgeport, was traveling northbound on Route 8 when his Hyundai Sonata left the road and hit a tree near Exit 18.

Any witnesses to the accident are urged to contact the Connecticut State Police at 203-393-4200.
