Proposed Shelton Speakeasy Pulls Lawsuits After Denial: Report
The speakeasy, which was denied by the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission, had been proposed for Old Bridgeport Avenue.

SHELTON, CT — The owner of Hush, the proposed speakeasy in Shelton that was denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission, has withdrawn two lawsuits against the city, reports the Connecticut Post.
Randi Lee England, Hush's owner, is no longer seeking to open the speakeasy, nor another restaurant and bar that she considered after the denial, at the Old Bridgeport Avenue location.
According to her attorney, Jonathan Klein, the coronavirus pandemic's impact on the restaurant industry was a contributing factor in why England withdrew the lawsuits and is not pursuing the new venture.
