Road Closures for Riverwalk Fireworks, July 3
Check the traffic changes and parking options for the day.
The annual concert and fireworks at the Riverwalk will take place on Thursday, July 3 (rain date Saturday, July 5).
The Shelton Police Department report the following road closures:
1:00 – 3:00 pm: Canal Street from Wharf Street to Hill Street will be closed for fireworks placement.

5:30 pm: Â Canal Street from Hill Street to Cornell Street closed for vendor setup.
7:30 pm:  Howe Avenue – from Wharf Street to Center Street closed to end of event. Â

There will be handicap parking available in the Municipal Parking Lot on Cornell Street. Â
Public Parking will be at:
Municipal Parking Lot at Bridge Street by Post Office.
Municipal Parking Lot at Bridge Street by West Canal.
Municipal Parking Lot on Center Street across from Porky’s Café.
Municipal Parking Lot on Howe Avenue next to Donut Stop.
