Update: Route 34 Still A Mess In Derby
A major part of Route 34 is partially closed due to a crash.
DERBY, CT — Route 34 eastbound at the Main Street/Route 8 on-ramp was closed earlier due to a tanker truck rollover. The Route 8 exit 15 ramps opened around 11:15 a.m.
There is still two-way traffic in the open westbound lane, which has caused significant delays in the aree.
The tanker truck spilled a large amount of fuel oil.
