Route 34 Reopened After Derby After Fatal Crash
A fatal crash closed the roadway for several hours Sunday.
DERBY, CT — Route 34 between Buckingham and Lakeview roads reopened after a fatal crash that occurred around 12:12 p.m. Sunday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Police said that two vehicles collided and one burst into flames, according to the Valley Independent Sentinel. The driver of the vehicle that burst into flames was declared dead at the scene.
