SEYMOUR, CT — A Seymour police sergeant accused of domestic violence charges was arrested Wednesday in Waterbury, according to The Hartford Courant. Jonathan Martin was charged with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.

He is accused of twisting his wife's limbs, including once when she was holding a child, after she rejected his sexual advances in the middle of the night.

Seymour Chief Paul Satkowski said in a statement that the department was "highly disappointed by these recent events" and that "Martin’s actions do not represent what we expect from our police officers."
