Shelton-Based Financial Advisors Offer Special Needs Services
Barnum Financial Group now has a Chartered Special Needs Consultant on staff.
SHELTON, CT — Shelton-based financial services company Barnum Financial Group this week announced that Mary Landsfield, a financial services professional with the firm, has received the Chartered Special Needs Consultant designation.
The American College created the Chartered Special Needs Consultant designation to better prepare financial services professionals to help families caring for someone with special needs to pro-actively plan for their loved one's future.
"The training and the commitment undertaken by Mary underscores that actions speak louder than words," said Barnum Financial Group's CEO Paul Blanco in a statement. "Families caring for someone with special needs can rest assured that Barnum Financial Group and its financial professionals are well-prepared to help to navigate the long-term course to help secure their financial future."

The Chartered Special Needs curriculum gives families access to information, specialists, financial products and services that can help families with dependents of any age, who have special needs, provide the best care for their loved ones.
In order to earn the designation, financial services professionals must complete a rigorous set of academic classes. Those who achieve the designation can navigate unique considerations: estate planning, special needs trusts, life insurance, tax deductions, healthcare issues, Medicaid complexities, and the emotional aspects of providing for a loved one with special needs.
