Daniel Goncalves Carvalho, 26, of Okenuck Way, Shelton, is charged with DUI, evading responsibility, following too closely, interfering with an officer and driving under suspension.
Police said Carvalho crashed into a vehicle about 9 p.m. on Dec. 29 and walked away into Downtown Shelton. Officers spotted him walking and he laid down and surrendered, police said.
His bond was set at $5,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
