Shelton Cops: Woman Interfered After Accident

Two people were arrested after an Oct. 11 crash, one for allegedly lying to police.

Leigh Antoinette Sabo, 22, is charged with interfering with an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school. She had paraphernalia for smoking marijuana, police said.

Police said Matthew George Pelham, 19, of Jewett Street, Ansonia, was driving the car when it crashed at Howe Avenue and Beard Street Oct. 11.

Pelham is charged with evading responsibility, following too closely and driving without a license. His bond was set at $1,000.

Sabo's bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
