SHELTON, CT — Firefighters from Echo Hose Hook and Ladder extinguished a weekend truck fire on Route 8 southbound.
Companies 1 and 3 and Engine 2 and 35 responded to the fire around 2 p.m. Saturday. A pickup truck was engulfed by flames.
The fire was extinguished and firefighters remained on scene to help with traffic for a short time after.
