Shelton and Derby's Work Week Forecast
The National Weather Service has issued a "Special Weather Statement" for Monday in Connecticut.

Written by BRIAN MCCREADY (Patch Staff)
It may have been late in arriving but at least spring decided to show up afterall.
Monday’s temps would even pass for a great summer day. Hopefully, you can get outside and enjoy it.
There is a chance of some showers at the end of the week and into the first part of the weekend, but overall the forecast is a really good one.
One concern today is the National Weather Service says there is an elevated fire weather potential today due to warmer temps and a dry airmass currently, but winds will be lighter today, which is good news.
Here is the latest forecast details via the National Weather Service:
Monday: Sunshine, upper 70s in northern Connecticut and low 70s at the Shoreline.
Monday night: Slight shower chance, temps around 50 degrees.
Tuesday: Clouds give way to sunshine, temps into the mid 60s and a bit windy at times.
Wednesday: Sunshine, temps near 60 degrees.
Wednesday night: Lows around 40 degrees.
Thursday: Sunshine, temps low 60s near the Shoreline and near 70 inland.
Thursday night: Showers are possible late, temps near 50 degrees.
Friday: Showers/clouds, and temps in the mid 60s for the Shoreline and near 70 inland.
Friday night: Showers/clouds and temps in the upper 40s.
The weekend:
Saturday: Showers early give way to sunshine, temps near 60 degrees.
Sunday: Sunshine, low 60s.
