Shelton High School Makes Top 10 of Initial Girls Soccer Poll

SHELTON, CT — Coming off a Class LL girls soccer state championship last season, the Ridgefield Tigers are out to retain that position by posting shutout victories in their first four games this season.

Ridgefield was the unanimous choice of coaches as the top team in Classes LL/L. Staples was second in the first week of voting, followed by Suffield.

Shelton, which had three victories and a tie in its first four outings, placed ninth in the initial balloting.

Granby Memorial High School was the leading votegetter among Classes M and S schools.

Here are the top 10 in Classes LL/L and M/S, along with all other schools receiving votes.
