The Wilson Agency was honored for 60 years in business recently.
According to Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell, the firm was founded in Bridgeport by the late Charlie Wilson Sr. who later dmoved it to Shelton. Wilson Sr. was an original member of the Huntington Business Association and supported many local charities.
“As the city has grown in size, so has the business by establishing strong community ties, business relationships, and earning recognition within the insurance industry,” Purcell said.
He added that Wilson Sr. “would be proud to know that his firm has reached this important milestone and that his legacy of community service continues through his sons and now his grandson.”
