Shelton Resident Wins CT Lottery Prize

The lucky winner purchased the ticket in Ansonia, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident is nearly $49,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased in Ansonia, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On May 17, William Searles claimed a winning PLAY4 Night ticket for $48,670 he purchased at Maple Mini Mart, on Maple Street.

The game has two drawings daily in which players try to match the four numbers drawn by the lottery. Players can multiply their winnings if they add a Wild Ball to their entry.
