Shelton Teacher Wins $3,500 On Wheel of Fortune
A Connecticut resident and school teacher appeared on Wheel of Fortune Tuesday night.

SHELTON, CT — Elizabeth Shelton School teacher Kristen Zack appeared on Wheel of Fortune Tuesday night and won $3,500. Zack finished in second place, hitting two puzzles.
The show was pre-taped in October and the results are secret until it airs on ABC, which was Tuesday evening.
Zack, who lives in Wallingford, told the The New Haven Register she first started watching the show about 10 years ago. She got her name into the contestant system last year and sent in an audition video.

Wheel of Fortune made its debut in 1983 with host Pat Sajak. He is in his 38th year of hosting one of the country's most popular and longest running game shows. Sajak recently underwent surgery to correct a blocked intestine.
He said Nov. 15 that he is expected to make a full and quick recovery. Longtime hostess Vanna White is handling hosting duties in his absence.
