Shelton's Back to Reality Weather Forecast

Our spring weather we saw last week disappears for a while and there are several upcoming chances for rain.

SHELTON, CT-- Technically, it’s still winter and at least for Monday it will still feel like that. The days of 60 and 70 degree temperatures and bright sunshine of this past week and weekend are a thing of the past for now.

Today temps continue to plummet down to around 40 degrees with rain, fog and wind an issue.

Rain will be apart of the forecast this week for several days and we won’t see the 60s or 70s again anytime soon.

Still, seeing that this is still winter, and the fact we were dealing with snow into last April, it could be much worse.

Here is the detailed forecast for the next seven days via the National Weather Service:

  • Monday: Rain and fog with temps around 40 degrees. On the immediate coastline wind could gust up to 30 mph throughout the day and evening, and interior locations could see winds around 15 mph. A half inch of rain is possible during the day with another half inch of rain this evening.
  • Tuesday: Light rain or drizzle early and fog and then mostly cloudy with temps near 50 degrees
  • Wednesday: Sun and likely the best day of the week with temps into the upper 50s.
  • Thursday: Chance of showers after 11 a.m., cloudy, and temps in the mid to upper 50s.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny with temps in the low 50s.
  • Saturday: Temps don’t even make 50 degrees but it will be mostly sunny.
  • Sunday: chance of rain all day, temps near 50 degrees.
