Spring Curbside Leaf Collection This Week in Shelton
Bagged leaves can be put out with the trash for pickup this week.
The spring 2014 curbside leaf pickup began Monday and will run through the end of the week.
Residents should bag leaves in brown, biodegradable bags, and leave them at the curb for pickup on their regular trash day.
Leaf bags should be placed at the curb but kept separate from the regular trash.
The compost site (leaves only) on Willoughby Road (next to Elizabeth Shelton School) will also be open all week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.
Residents bringing leaves to the compost site in containers other than biodegradable paper bags must remove non-conforming containers from the site.
All brush can be brought to the transfer station at 866 River Road, open Monday through Saturday each week from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
