
Angela Pepe, 23, of Beechwood Drive, Ansonia, is charged with second-degree forgery, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.
Police said the complainant said the cashed check did not have her signature. The initial incident took place in April.
One check was cashed in Shelton and another in Seymour, one for $2,000.
Pepe's bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
