1 Driver Killed In 2-Vehicle Head-On Crash In Southbury: State PD
Washington Depot resident William F. Ball was pronounced dead at Waterbury Hospital following the Friday crash.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A 71-year-old Washington Depot man was killed in a head-on crash Friday morning on South Britain Road in Southbury, according to Connecticut State Police.
William F. Ball was pronounced dead at Waterbury Hospital following the 10 a.m. crash, which occurred near the intersection of Spruce Brook Road.
State police said Ball was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound on South Britain Road when an 2008 Audi A6 traveling southbound, driven by Roxbury resident Michael M. Boyd, 81, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the truck.

Boyd suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated in St. Mary's Hospital. The crash remains under investigation by state police.
