2021 Southbury Memorial Day Parade Set For Monday
The annual parade returns following last year's cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
SOUTHBURY, CT — The 2021 Memorial Day Parade in Southbury will be held Monday beginning at 11 a.m. at the Pomperaug Office Park on Depot Hill Road across from the CVS.
Last year, the annual event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the town still held a ceremony to honor troops and veterans.
"The Parade will continue down Main Street South and end at the Veterans Memorial Green, which is located between the Town Hall and the Senior Center/Park and Recreation Office," organizers of the 2021 event said.

Additionally, Main Street South between Depot Hill Road and the Senior Center will be closed to traffic from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The keynote speaker for the ceremony after the parade will be Dan Ettinger, Commander, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 1.
