CT Murder Suspect Accused Of Stealing Dead Husband's Paychecks
Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi is accused of murdering her husband, UConn doctor Pierluigi Bigazzi. She also has been accused of larceny.

BURLINGTON, CT — The 73-year-old Burlington woman accused of murdering her 84-year-old husband, University of Connecticut doctor and professor Pierluigi Bigazzi, has now been accused of stealing his paychecks after his 2017 death.
Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi was arrested on a warrant by Connecticut State Police on Friday, and was charged with first-degree larceny. She was released after posting bond on bail of $125,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned in Hartford Superior Court on July 20.
"It is alleged that after murdering her husband, Kosuda-Bigazzi hid the body in the home for several months and continued to receive his salary from UConn Health in Farmington where he was employed as a professor in the School of Medicine since 1975," state police said in a statement.

State police believe Pierluigi Bigazzi was killed in August 2017, but Kosuda-Bigazzi did not notify the university, so it kept issuing paychecks to Pierluigi Bigazzi until February 2018.
During that period, his gross salary totaled more than $84,000, but the school paid him more than $102,000 during the period through direct and indirect payments on his behalf, according to state police.

Kosuda-Bigazzi and the university agreed that she would reimburse the school just over $50,000, which she paid in 2018.
State police arrested Kosuda-Bigazzi on murder charges in 2018, after her husband's wrapped body was found inside their Burlington home. State police said medical examiners determined Bigazzi died of blunt trauma to the head.
The murder case is still pending, and Kosuda-Bigazzi reportedly has yet to enter a plea.
