CT 32ND SENATE DISTRICT – The State Elections Enforcement Commission has reported that Democratic Candidate for the 32nd Senate District Jeff Desmarais’ campaign has qualified to receive the full allocation of state campaign finance support.

The Committee met qualifying thresholds by exceeding the minimum of 300 in-district donations and raising over $16,000. The 32nd District Senate seat serves Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, and Woodbury.

“I am incredibly proud of my campaign team who worked tirelessly to get us to our fundraising goals,” said Desmarais.

“I am thankful to the people of the 32nd District who reached into their pockets and generously donated during a difficult financial time, because they believed in my candidacy. This is a grassroots movement and based on the outpouring of support, I believe it is time for a change in leadership in the 32nd District,” he said.

The Citizens’ Election Program (CEP) is a voluntary program which provides clean elections financing to qualified candidates for statewide offices allowing candidates to compete without reliance on special interest money. The grant program works to restore public confidence in the electoral and legislative processes, increasing meaningful citizen participation, and providing the public with useful and timely disclosure of campaign finances.
