Here's How Much Money The Tornado Will Cost Southbury

SOUTHBURY, CT — The tornado that caused significant damage to the town is coming with a hefty bill as cleanup efforts will cost between $1 million and $1.5 million, the Republican-American reports.

Town officials are seeking federal assistance and would recoup 75 percent of the costs. Southbury has no emergency funds to complete the cleanup and are urgently awaiting word from FEMA that funds will be approved to help accelerate cleanup efforts.
