Man Faked Being Hit By Motorists In Southbury: PD

The man tried to get money from the victims, police said.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested after he faked being hit by motorists in order to try and exploit them, according to police.

Thomas Burns, 47, banged on windows of two motorists at Southbury Plaza Aug. 27 and said he was struck by their vehicles, according to the Republican-American.

Police were notified and later found Burns talking to another victim and attempting to get money from her, police said.
