Motorcyclist Dies After Crash With Vehicle: Southbury Police
The accident occurred Friday night when the motorcycle and a vehicle collided with one another, according to police.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A North Granby man, Mark R. Kibby, 52, of Heather Lane North, died after sustaining serious injuries in an accident on Friday night on Kettletown Road, Southbury police said.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Kettletown Road around 7:30 pm. and Kibby, who was on a motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Southford Road, police said. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, police said.
Kibby was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries, police said. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The State Police CARS Unit responded to reconstruct the accident. This accident remains open for investigation.
