National Retailer Coming To Southbury: Report

The major national retailer will serve as an anchor store for the soon-to-be renovated shopping center.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Old Navy will be coming to the Southbury Plaza as the retailer has signed a 5-year lease agreement to open in a 13,000-square-foot space, the Republican-American reports.

The space includes part of the former Kmart building, which closed for good in 2017 and the property is being completed changed and upgraded.

Old Navy is expected to be open in time for the winter season. More stores will be coming to the newly designed shopping center in the future. The renovated plaza will feature smaller stores.

Old Navy, a clothing retailer, is "Fashion for the people. Click around, be inspired, get some nice things," according to its social media. It first opened in 1994.

"Products: Flip-flops, Jeans, PJs and Rings. Hoodies, Hats, Polos and Tanks. Shorts, Tees, Dresses, and Capris. Fun fashion, great deals, hot tunes, and good cheer!"
