New Gym To Open In Southbury: Report

This new gym will take the place of the one that closed abruptly.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Gym abruptly closed at its 730 Main St. South in October and now a new fitness center called Revv Fitness Club will open in January just in time for New Year's health resolutions.

The gym will be operated by Anthony F. and Denise A. Kummerl of Newtown, the Republican-American reports. The gym will feature strength and cardio equipment and offer special classes including for HIIT routines.

The Gym closed after owing a ton of back taxes to the federal government and town.

On Revv Fitness Club's website it states "We are passionate about healthy living, quality fitness experiences and a positive community atmosphere. If you are too, come for a visit when we open in January 2019. We look forward to meeting you!"
