Frances Marie Jacobs, 76 of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully on Friday January 31, 2020 after battling a long illness. Her daughters were by her side. She was born on October 29, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT. Daughter of the late Edward & Tessie (Andrzejewski) Czaplicki of Fairfield, and wife to the late Lester Jacobs of Stratford. She was a graduate of Andrew Ward High School and was an accountant for most of her life until she retired in 2009.
Fran was a very caring and loving woman. She was the type of person who would take the extra time out to make others feel special. Fran was especially generous to those she loved and would go above and beyond to make sure they had whatever they wanted or needed. Some would say Fran was strong willed and at times an outright “stubborn Polack” -demanding and impatient at times but that is what made her who she was.

Fran was very creative, and her passions & talents were many. You would often find her working on a project be it sewing curtains, working on her Christmas village, making holiday baskets for the grandkids, puttering in her garden, or designing and decorating spaces in her home. She would fuss over every little detail until it was exactly how she wanted it.
She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and spoiling them. She especially enjoyed the family trips to Disney World because she loved to see the smiles on their faces, even when it became difficult for her to get around.
