Obit: George W. Dietz Of Southbury

George W. Dietz Jr. of Southbury, CT died peacefully in his sleep on January 5, 2020 at the age of 82. He was the only child of George W. Dietz Sr. and Justine Brenia Dietz, late of Heritage Village. He grew up in Westchester NY, received a BA from Williams College ’59 and a PhD in biochemistry from Yale. He did post-doctoral work at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and took his first academic position at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York in cancer research. From there he became a senior neuroscientist at City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California. He retired to Heritage
Village fifteen years ago.
