LOVING SISTER AND AUNT
It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Filomena (Phyllis) DiFelice shares the news of her passing. Phyllis passed peacefully on April 26, 2020 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury where she had resided for the past five years.
Phyllis was born in her parents’ home on August 27,1930 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was the oldest daughter of the late Cesare and Lucy (Ciccarelli) DiFelice.

Phyllis was a 1948 graduate of Wilby High School. She worked and retired from American Chemical and Refining Company as a Purchasing Agent. Phyllis was a longtime communicant of St. Lucy’s Church.
Phyllis always enjoyed an excellent UConn Girls basketball game or watching the New York Yankees win. Her biggest joy was spending time during the holidays with her family. She enjoyed baking holiday treats, especially her homemade raviolis, cookies, and “brownies” with her sister Marie and other family members.

Phyllis is survived by her brother John DiFelice and wife Bernice of Naugatuck, sister in law Mary Lou DiFelice of Naugatuck, and brother in law Frederick Rodney of Milford. She also leaves her loving nieces and nephews: Linda (George) Klauber of Naples, Maine, Barbara ( Donald) Carusello of Naugatuck, John (Nancy) DiFelice of Acushnet, Massachusetts, Cynthia (Angelo) Testa of St. Clair, Michigan, Patti DiFelice of Waterbury, Mark DiFelice ( Kathyrn) of Watertown, Brenda Avellanet (Juan Escudero) of Milford, Steven DiFelice of Waterbury, Mary (David) Semplenski of Southbury, Richard DiFelice of Enfield, Sharon (Douglas) Cyr of Cheshire, and Laura Garay of New Hartford.She leaves her wonderful grandnieces and grandnephews; and several great-great grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Nicholas and Carmen DiFelice, sister Marie Rodney, and nephew David DiFelice.
Phyllis’ family would like to thank the entire staff at the Lutheran Home of Southbury for their compassionate and outstanding care.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be announced.
