Old Navy Coming To Southbury

The clothing retailer is set to open later this year.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Old Navy will come to the Southbury Plaza at 100 Main St. North to fill the old Kmart location in fall 2019.

The news was announced by the plaza owners.

Old Navy and Gap are set to split into separate companies. The move has been touted as a way to allow Old Navy to grow on its own, according to CNN. Old Navy has around $8 billion in annual sales while Gap, Banana Republic and other brands under the umbrella have $9 billion in sales. Old Navy has seen ongoing growth in recent years while Gap has seen sale contractions.
