PDDH Offers Flu Shot Clinics at Schools By Appointment
Pomperaug Health District to hold after-school by-appointment flu clinics at local schools.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in anticipation of higher demand, Pomperaug Health District has expanded its flu clinic schedule, adding over 20 clinics, including clinics specifically students and their families. This year, clinics are by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. The easiest way to make an appointment is to visit www.pddh.org and follow the links. Those unable to make an appointment online can call the PDDH at 203-264-9616, extension 0 to schedule an appointment. CDC and State COVID-19 guidelines will be followed for the clinics. Face masks will be required at all clinics
Flu shot clinics for students and families will be offered on:
· Wednesday, October 28, 3:30 – 5:30 PM at Rochambeau Middle School

· Wednesday, November 4, 3:30 – 5:30 PM at the old Oxford Center School, located on Route 67
· Tuesday, November 10, 3:30 – 5:30 PM at Pomperaug High School

· Tuesday, November 17, 3:30 -5:30 PM at Woodbury Middle School
Additionally, persons of all ages can get their flu vaccinations at the Pomperaug Health District Office
· Mondays, now through January 4, 3:00 – 5:30 PM
· Thursdays, now through November 19, 3:00 – 5:30 PM
· Saturdays, November 7 and December 5, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Health District office is located at Playhouse Corner, 77 Main Street North Suites 204-205 in Southbury. The full schedule is available on the PDDH website.
The Health District offers vaccines for persons 6 months and older. The clinics are staffed by experienced nurses. The following vaccines will be available: quadrivalent, high-dose quadrivalent, FluMist, and Flublok for those with egg allergies. The following health insurances will be accepted: Medicare Part B; Aetna; Cigna; UnitedHealthcare; and HUSKY/Medicaid. ConnectiCare and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield are also accepted, with the exception of their Access Health CT / CT Exchange plans (the platinum, gold, silver, bronze plans). Insurance cards must be presented at the clinic for each person receiving a vaccine. PDDH reserves the right to refuse service if an insurance card is not presented for the person receiving the vaccine. Persons without an insurance card have the option of paying at the time of service. Persons with other health insurance or no health insurance must pay with cash, check, or credit card.
