The Republican-American is reporting that there have been many accidents - and an arrest - in Southbury over the last couple of days.
In one incident, two cars collided near the Exit 15 eastbound off-ramp from Interstate 84. No one was injured, but both cars were damaged.
Two cars also collided at the intersection of Old Field and Heritage roads. No one was injured in the accident.

On Thursday morning, a car struck a wire rope guardrail in the median of Interstate 84 and became entangled.
In another case, a Southbury man had his vehicle rear-ended in a construction zone in Middlebury.

Michael Velky, 20, of 175 Westview Rd., is facing several charges after police said he returned to his home intoxicated. He allegedly left the house in his vehicle at 11:23 p.m. before police arrived. While police were there, Velky returned in his vehicle and appeared intoxicated.
He was charged with driving under the influence, first-degree criminal mischief, breach of peace, and interfering with an emergency call.
