Southbury Teen Killed In Crash: Report
The crash, which killed Ryan Anthony Rutledge, occurred Monday night off Roxbury Road in Southbury, according to authorities.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A 17-year-old Southbury teenager was killed Monday when the Jeep Wrangler he was driving crashed through a guardrail, and the vehicle rolled over several times down an embankment, the News Times reported.
Ryan Anthony Rutledge was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:35 p.m. crash off Roxbury Road; a passenger in the vehicle, a 16-year-old from Woodbury, reportedly was hospitalized after she suffered serious injuries in the crash.
According to the Southbury Police Department, which is continuing to investigate the crash, the two were ejected from the vehicle and found in the Pomperaug River; anyone with any information about the crash is urged to contact Southbury police at 203-264-5912.
