Southbury Announces Upcoming Road Work Schedule

These roads will be worked on soon.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury has announced upcoming road work expected to begin the week of July 22.

The chip seal work is expected to be completed within two weeks subject to weather and contractor availability.

  • Ballantine Park
  • Crook Horn Road (Roxbury Road into Settlers Park)
  • Mansion House Road
  • Short Rock Road

Milling and paving is scheduled for late July on these roads:

  • Cedar Crest Drive
  • Georges Hill Road (from just South of Laurelwood Lane to just south of Cooper Hill Road)
  • Lakeside Road (Georges Hill Road to Fish Rock Road)
  • Parking lots within the town complex (Town Hall lower lot, Fire Dept. upper lot, Police lot)

Cold in place recycling with surface treatment tentatively scheduled for August:

  • Patriot Road

Road reconstruction scheduled for September:

Tree Removal in preparation for Road reconstruction:

  • Hollow Swamp Road

Catch Basin Repair as scheduling allows:

  • Heritage Road (Pomperaug River Bridge to Bates Rock Road)
  • East Hill Road (Old Poverty Road to Fairway Drive)
