SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury firefighters rescued a man who had fallen into an icy pond Wednesday.
The man was able to free himself and get to a nearby island at Hidden Pond where he waited for crews to rescue him, fire officials said on Facebook.
Firefighters used a rapid deployment craft to get to the victim.
