Southbury Food Bank Drive This Weekend

Donations can be made in front of Stop and Shop this weekend for the Southbury Food Bank.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Southbury Food Bank, Stop and Shop and Southbury Police Department are teaming up for a stuff a cruiser food drive Saturday.

Police will be in front of Stop and Shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. accepting donations on behalf of the food bank.

The Southbury Ambulance Association will be taking donations on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the same location.

Some most-needed items include:

  • Tea bags
  • Dish soap
  • Crackers and cookies
  • Baking mixes
  • Baked beans
  • Applesauce
  • Canned fruit
  • Mayonnaise and ketchup
  • Corned beef hash
  • Beef stew
  • Pasta sauce
  • Elbow macaroni
