Southbury Man, 88, Killed In 1-Vehicle Crash: Report
The crash reportedly occurred Tuesday on East Hill Road.
SOUTHBURY, CT — An 88-year-old Southbury man was killed Tuesday after the vehicle he was driving veered off East Hill Road and struck a tree, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
Charles Hakli, of Heritage Crest, pronounced dead at Waterbury Hospital just before 5 p.m., roughly 40 minutes following the crash, which the publication wrote was at 4 p.m. Hakli's vehicle struck the tree near the intersection with East Meadow Road.
