Southbury Planning Commission Ok's Wooden Building For Crematory:Report

Site modification will allow for wooden building as opposed to a prefabricated metal building.

Stone Family Cremation Services have gotten approval to change site modification plans to the process of getting a crematorium approved.

Kevin T. Bennett, architect at Bennett Associates Inc, designed a wood-framed building instead of the original plans for a prefabricated metal building, according to the Republican-American, which added that the wood building would have blue-gray siding with a shingled roof.

The newly designed building will be 4,200 square feet, smaller than the original proposal.
