SOUTHBURY, CT — As Connecticut takes big strides toward normalcy Wednesday and lifts many of its coronavirus protocols, Southbury Public Library is following suit and reopening many of its services.

The library has reopened more second floor study tables this week, and has made more first floor seating available to patrons.

Also the Friends of the Library Lobby Book Sale area is now open, but officials ask that customers use exact change or checks to make purchases.

"We are continuing to reintroduce services with the safety of the public and our staff in mind," officials wrote on the library's website. "Please ask a staff member if you would like us to sanitize a table, computer, or any other area before you use it."
