SOUTHBURY, CT — The Planning Commission is expected to vote in June on a controversial proposed six-unit apartment complex at 390 Roxbury Road on about 2 acres of land, the Republican-American reports.

The developer originally sought 14 units but has scaled it back to six but numerous neighbors oppose the project saying it would negatively impact both the character of the town and their property values, the Rep-AM reports.

The project is drawing controversy because Southbury's regulations currently don't allow for a standalone apartment building.
