These Southbury Roads Are Getting Fixed

These roads are scheduled to be fixed starting this week.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury is the midst of chip sealing several roads in town.

The following roads are expected to be chip sealed the week of June 24 with work lasting two weeks:

  • Ballantine Park
  • Bucks Hill Road
  • Crook Horn Road (Roxbury Road into Settlers Park)
  • Harvest Lane
  • Mansion House Road
  • Munn Road
  • New Road
  • Old Waterbury Road
  • Purchase Fire Dept.
  • Short Rock Road
  • Timberland Way
  • West Purchase Road

Mill and Pave projects tentatively scheduled for late July:

  • Cedar Crest Drive
  • Georges Hill Road (from just South of Laurelwood Lane to just south of Cooper Hill Road)
  • Lakeside Road (Georges Hill Road to Fish Rock Road)
  • Parking lots within the town complex (Town Hall lower lot, Fire Dept. upper lot, Police lot)

Cold in place recycling with surface treatment tentatively scheduled for August:

Road reconstruction scheduled for September:

  • Hickory Lane

Tree Removal in preparation for Road reconstruction:

  • Hollow Swamp Road

Catch Basin Repair as scheduling allows:

  • Heritage Road (Pomperaug River Bridge to Bates Rock Road)
  • East Hill Road (Old Poverty Road to Fairway Drive)
